Season 46, Week 1
Miklotov
(Suikoden II)

In a straight clash of soldiers, the sharpest weapon and the sturdiest armor win. Miklotov, faithful retainer to Rockaxe, is no stranger to the basics of battle, and he can rest assured that he has the upper hand in this fight. Being a battle-hardened, staunch swordsman wielding a strong blade that's been endowed with the power of Lightning, Miklotov should have no problems showing an upstart kid with a dulled blade what a swordfight really is about. Randi, the child of the Mana Tree, may have a unique upbringing, but, in the end, he's nothing but a kid with a sword. A true warrior should have no problems handling that sort of threat - in fact, Miklotov's biggest concern here isn't even victory, as it's guaranteed. He'll just have to hold back to not hurt this boy too much.

Looks like the Mana Knight's being summoned back to action in the ring, and he's certainly jumping to the call earnestly. It's been far more than long enough since he's had some action - not that he's complaining about the break, mind you. And it looks like he'll have his work cut out for him against the captain of Matilda's Blue Knights, Sir Miklotov. Still, despite the pedigree of his opponent, this is exactly the kind of fight Randi likes: a simple, sunny, straight-up slugfest, sword against sword, muscle against muscle, valor against valor. All he has to do is power through and knock the blue knight down for the count. Easier said then done perhaps, but Randi's got the strength and skill to prevail, just you watch! He's not the Child of the Mana Tree just for show!

Swordfight duels are a time-honed tradition, existing through the entire history of most worlds. In other words, it's something that most spectators have seen hundreds of times already in the past and some couldn't care less anymore. The vast majority of those who still liked sword duels decided to watch the stronger, faster and cuter fighters in their duel in Heavy.

As such, the bored judges decided to transform Randy and Miklotov ignored duel into a Personality contest instead. Sadly enough, Randy's vigorous nods and head shakes were more personality than Miklotov ever had...
