The Mana Knight who looks like a silent main but isn't has advanced to round 2, with an impressive victory over the accomplished knight, Miklotov. Compared to a warrior as fine as the Blue Knight from Matilda, Tellah is nothing. An old man who doesn't even have the MP to cast his best spell? Tellah is every bit as frail and slow as his looks suggest, so Randi will easily be able to charge up to a fatal slash before the old codger even gets a turn. Really, Tellah would be better off to just not show up; he could catch up on his sleep that way! Failing that, though, the Mana Knight will be happy to shatter the sage's brittle old man hip, and get one step closer to a Light title.

Wazzat? Round two already? Tellah must have nodded off after finishing off Colette, but no worries, he'll be up and at 'em at least long enough to finish off his second challenger. Which...won't be very long, actually. The legendary Mana Knight knows all too well what the power of magic is capable of from traveling with Purim and Popoi, two rather famous spellcasters, so what does he think he can do against someone who can wield the powers of Black and White magic at once like the great Sage? Trusting in his youthful vigor will only get Randi defeated, as in this match it will be age, experience and a healthy selection of unhealthy status spells that carries the day.

Heroes don't hit senior citizens. It's a violation of the Hero's Code, Section 6, paragraph 25, line 19.
Randi, being a reluctant hero, doesn't follow the Hero's Code. Granted, there was also the pep talk Guy and Dekar gave him. And hearing Tellah boasting how he'd "teach that whippersnapper some respect for elders." And hearing his companions gloat about their dueling records.
Point being, he's going to fight it out. Popoi mocking him for being as scary as Llewelyn may have been going a bit far though.
Having done some homework, Randi knew his only chance lay in landing a critical before Tellah got a spell off. Luck was not with him that day. He attempted a quick swing but instead, as if his sword had a mind of its own, ended up executing a leaping slash. This gave the old sage enough time to scoot out of the way. Here's where Tellah demonstrated that he'd done some homework as well.
He smacked Randi with his staff. On the rear end.
Randi was stunned. Partly because Tellah had used a physical attack and also because his parents had never spanked him like that. It was only for a few seconds but it was enough for Tellah to finish chanting. Snapping out of his trance, Randi charged Tellah shouting a fierce battle cry of "ribbit."
Tellah allowed frog Randi to scamper out of the arena without a further beating. Folks his age avoid unnecessary exertion when possible.
Randi: 13
Tellah: 45
