Season 54, Week 2
Vinsfeld Rhadamanthus
(Wild Arms 2)

Hervey has a really goofy name. Yeah, that's not what you're used to in write-ups, but arguing against faceless Suikoden scrubs means you have to aim low. Vinsfeld, on the other hand, is a perfectly respectable terrorist...well, maybe not, but he can do some damage. Hervey has some fire, but barely enough to give Vinny a sunburn. So he'll have an easy time batting away Hervey's pathetic physicals. And, of course, Hervey takes hits like wet tissue paper. Vinsfeld isn't well known for absorbing damage either, but he at least beats out Suikoden Character #1244365! So in this race to the top of Light, Vinsfeld will leave Hervey in the dust, and hopefully continue his quest for glory in Week 3!

Hervey is probably the subject of Vinsfeld's envy, and it's for a few reasons. For one, be belongs to the most successful pirate organization in his world and is the right hand man of it's leader. Well, one of them anyway. Can't help being one of the Suikoden yaoi knights. He's also a fairly competant underling, which Vinsfeld certainly could have used in his quest for his pure ideals. And lastly, he doesn't have to come back from the dead to get a competent battle form. That's check and mate right there. Hervey's got fire and pure steel, which is always a good combo in any Suikoden world, and certainly enough to take down possibly the scrubbiest terrorist leader in any world's history.

Pure ideas vs a pirate. Sure, pirates are cool, but come on. Pure ideas are pure corn and hash! Not even a pirate in lace and a puffy shirt can compete with that. So outgunned, Hervey is going to flee with his tail between his legs. What pirate can stand being outdone?
