Season 56, Week 1
Genis Sage
(Tales of Symphonia)

Genius half-elf and masterful master of the magical artes, Genis Sage is ready to once again try his luck at making his mark on Light after a championship many seasons ago! After all, if he managed to win Light once, he certainly can make lightning strike in the same place twice, right? Facing off against the monk Aisha should be an easy test of his arcane artes - after all, if he could survive Raine, and she's a much stronger person than this weird whoever, he can handle this mettle for sure! His deadly Meteor Storm should be more than enough to off her in a flash, and with his elvish resistance to magic, nothing she can do will be able to stop him from Light domination!

Vengeance is what pushed Aisha to join the Rebellion army. Her mother was killed by the Black Knight Gares for opposing Endora's corrupt empire, and the Roshian Order suffered greatly over the years when it attempted to fight such evil. But Aisha helped to destroy the roots of vice with the power of her devotion and clerical skills - it's a wonder that Light can contain such a lass. The High Priestess specializes in fighting mages; Aisha boasts excellent magical evasion, speed, and surprisingly high damage from her Ankh attacks. All Genis possesses is slow magic and no holy resistance. The half-elf little twat is going to burn under the power of Aisha's pure attacks!

Genis was used to the mockery and the taunts. After all, when you're a Tales mage, there's not really a whole lot you're all that good at, and he was among the worst. But that was alright, because he had one talent that was his, and his alone. A skill where he stood alone, peerless and unmatched. Until now.

"Oh yeah!" Aisha said as she twitched her hand and the ball effortlessly flew into the cup. "You wouldn't believe how much time we had. Just sitting around in towns, or tromping around just to get anywhere. And that's just the battles, don't get me started on those tribute runs or treasure hunts. Had to do something, with all that time."

As Aisha continued rambling on and doing a couple behind the hand flips, Genis slunk away in miserable defeat.
