Season 8, Week 1
Virginia Maxwell
(Wild Arms 3)

Drifter, gunner, woman. After a humiliating defeat in season three, Virginia Maxwell is back, and though she's a division lower than she was five seasons ago, she's ready to win her way back up to Middle. While she's not the most resilient of fighters, neither is her opponent, and Virginia holds a definite advantage over Celine in both physical power and agility. In addition, Celine's magic, never very powerful or fast-casting to begin with, will be hampered by Virginia's typical female magical defenses. A couple of well-placed Gatlings, and the young drifter will be on her way to the Light championship she desires.

Although she's battled against ten of the strongest beings in her world, Celine Jules' normally haughty mindset is now replaced with a fearful one. Without a beefy front line to protect her, the Queen of Cross' shoddy defenses are fully exposed to the keen eye of the gunslinging Virginia. However, with her Holy Tusk rod, Celine can steadily regain HP as she attempts to down the Drifter with a barrage of Meteor Swarms. Coupled with her stat-boosting, the strangely-attired spellslinger has a good chance of conjuring her way to a win.

Celine looked over at her opponent, and sheered. A child with toy guns. Falling into her magic, Celine summoned one of her many deadly spells. She felt a few minor wounds from the child's guns, but that was nothing for her to worry about.

"SOUTHERN CROSS!"

Celine's arms flared wide, and the arena turned black. Bright stars fell from the now black ceiling, landing on the young drifter.

A huge explosion ripped through Virginia, obviously wounding her. But as the dust cleared, she was still standing with a determined look on her face.

"Flash isn't everything, you know, but...." Virginia cocked her guns, and unloaded a full galting into Celine. While Virginia's explosion wasn't as flashy, it did what Celine's magic couldn't do- earn a win.
