Virginia is a Migrant Bird ready to spread her wings and fly to the finals. This week, she faces Reis, one tough cookie. Virginia's good evade and magic defense will be useless against the Evade and Faith ignoring Bracelet attacks of Reis. However, she has the speed advantage, and the Fire Rune. She could opt to buffer herself with Anger, then physical attack to let her FP bar fill up and unleash one final large Gatling before she goes down. Virginia has a rough match in front of her, but she has a definate shot this week.

The happy and upbeat dragon girl is facing someone of kindred spirit this week in Virginia Maxwell. Reis packs a powerful punch, with her magic defense-ignoring bracelet attacks, which greatly lessens Virginia's advantage. In turn, Reis shrugs off her foe's piddling pea-shooters with little trouble, all the while giving hell to the eager young Drifter. And when a world-weary woman like Reis faces an exuberant young thing like Virginia, the match is sure to be one for the Duelling League annals.

Virginia wasn't taking any chances with a return to Middle on the line. She did her research before coming to the match, and knew her opponent would most likely show up in dragon form. Dragons are easy enough to deal with, given a little foresight: a few hundred gella discreetly slipped to the judges to smooth over the questionable legality of her Fire medium and flame protection buys her an easy win, right?
Wrong. Imagine Virginia's surprise when Reis smacks her with ice instead--or, rather, imagine her surprise when she thaws out.

Great... now where were we?
Well, after a few gatlings, Reis will most likely be seeing stars. It doesn't help matters that Virginia is one of the speediest regular characters in her game and protected by an incredibly annoying amount of Evasion. And so the Derringers help to win the day once again. Have pity on those who need to hit Virginia physically...
