Season 8, Week 5
Reis Dular
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

For a human turned dragon-cum-human, Reis has done a damn fine job of kicking ass. Not every species-confused lass can manage the hard won victories Reis has, even fewer that can only equip girly ribbons and handbags. In light of that, Reis' run is epic - and in all epics, mere bandits are just the cannon fodder for the heroine to tramble down. Axe and Double Beat or not, Gijimu is going down to breath attacks, bag slaps and a dash of good old draconic destiny.

Lampdragon bandit leader Gijimu is now but one step away from a Light championship, and he's not changing his strategy. Indeed, it's not like he can. Just like against Flonne, Cyan, and Cai before, against Reis his one and only tactic will be to hit her with an axe. Repeatedly. Luckilly for Gijimu, Reis isn't all that enduring for a dragon, and even her potent breath attacks are unlikely to keep up with his own Double-Beat offence, so Gijimu is in a good position to take home a title in one of the more impressive slugfests the division has ever seen.

Oblivion Knight
Gijimu was faced with a problem. Killing dragons is not an easy task, and for a One-Dimensional Suikoden fighter like himself, the chance of him winning were pretty low. However, all was not lost.

In an odd coincidence, Gijimu had borrowed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire the very week of the match. Having read the book, he stumbled upon an idea. Of course, he wasn't nearly as apt with magic as Harry, but he could substitute.

On the day of the match, instead of laying into the the dragon with his axes, Gijimu pulled out a wand, and attempted to use a conjunctivitis curse on the dragoner. Even odder than seeing a fighter with a wand, was the fact that it worked. Reis was blinded, and ended up incinerating the audience with her dragon breath, effectively getting her disqualified and giving Gijimu his first Light championship.
