Season 27, Week 4
Garet
(Golden Sun)

With two of Light's stronger warriors down for the count, it's time for one last battle before Garet fights in the championship. Against Kashell, there's no need to go all out - Kashell's a one-trick pony, and Garet has more tricks than one would expect. Unleashing Fever blinds the poor knight, preventing him from landing a single blow on Garet. Unleashing Scorch can paralyze Kashell, forcing him to sit still and take whatever Garet dishes out - which could very well include the summoning of Meteor, more destructive than even Sephiroth's own casting of it! With Guard to boost Garet's already solid defenses, and Impair to lower Kashell's, Garet should have no problem taking down the Valkyrie's trusted soldier.

Cool blue hair? Check. Giant sword? Check. Light championship? About ready to check that off, as well! Kashell comes away from his last victory quite confident and only a step away from the legendary Light Finals, and his rightful position in Middle. However, he faces off this time against Garet, of Golden Sun fame. Equal in the ways of strength and defense, Garet, like Kashell, is a tough nut to crack. However, the power of a blow is determined by both strength AND speed, in which Kashell holds the advantage. Regardless, once Kashell pulls out a Flashing Blade, it should be all over for Garet, who will find his dreams of a championship crushed like so many others beneath Kashell's giant sword.

Tide
On paper, this looks to be a good match. You have a durable, diverse talented opponent on one side versus a durable and somewhat capable damage dealer. One is seen as a strong Light. The other downgraded from Middle. So even based on rankings, they should be around equal strength.

However, once that match starts, Kashell is getting the first hit in, and it's going to sting. While Garet has a fairly diverse variety to stop Kashell, none of it will hold out long enough and breakthrough Kashell's massive HP before the inevitable Flashing Blade follow up comes and smashes him into the pavement.

But hey, its not like Garet is a bad light; he just ran into someone who probably deserved his division.

Garet: 24
Kashell: 43

Garet has lots of HP. Kashell has lots of HP. Garet lacks damage. Kashell lacks damage. Garet is painfully slow. Kashell's game doesn't have speed, making him perfectly normal. Game, set, match.

Garet Casts Delusion. Kashell has no chance to survive. I'll allow Garet to summon a few Mars Djinn, since that is what he starts with, and that wipes it up easily.

Gavaroc Fevinor
But Garet is still in the running. His opponent however, is not to be taken lightly. But all in all Firehead can still pull through.
