While she can’t match up to the name "Heaven Knight," Rafa is still a force to be reckoned with…in Light, at least. While she lacks her brother's frog-exploding power, Rafa hassomething far more useful: a pseudo-draining tactic perfect for dealing with low-damage opponents like Hervey. With Earth Clothes, Rafa can simaltenously attack her opponent and heal herself, as long as her capricious skillset cooperates. But against an opponent as incompetent as this? Well, she could probably win if she spent the match practicing the exploding frog trick.

Just Hervey's luck. Instead of huge, anchor swinging giant like Ward, he gets a cute young woman with a bad habit of getting in trouble. Oh well, he'll find a way to deal with it, even if his conscience complains. That way will probably be his trusty fire rune, which will cook Rafa and her extremely poor magic defense in an instant. He'll get plenty of chances to roast Rafa, as the Heaven Knight has nothing approaching damage to threaten him with! He's got a long, long way to go if he wants to match up with Sigurd's success, and there's no way he'll let himself be shown up!

A handsome man.
A noseless young girl with a horribly traumatized past.
No good can come of this.
Well, or so it would seem.
But as it turns out, Hervey managed to spread the rumor that, if Rafa showed up, Hervey would kill her brother. After all, that way, he wouldn't have to beat up a random girl. Sometimes, strategy is the best way to avoid bloodshed.
Rafa showed up.
As a puzzled Hervey pondered-how could a sister be so cold as to allow the death of her brother?-she pointed him out in the stands and waited.
"Why would you want your own brother dead?" He asked, stunned.
"Well, you see, he..." Rafa proceeded to tell Hervey the tale of most of Chapter 3 of the Brave Story.
"Oh. Well then." Hervey said, blinking.
And so, half the audience, who had been listening, as well as Hervey, blew up Malak.
Rafa simply departed with a smile on her face.
Maybe she really doesn't like her brother. At any rate, she seemed satisfied.
Malak still doesn't have a clue why the hell any of this happened, though. Granted, he also doesn't remember how he ended up in the hospital, so this could be a factor.
Also, he can't remember that exclaimation points exist.
Rafa likes not confronting her brother directly. Less stress and family bickering that way. Just Malak blowing up, while she keeps a smile on her face and her chin up.
Eventually, she'll work off this pent up anger, and everything will be normal between the two of them.
Unfortunately for Malak, this could take years, and he may not last that long.

Since Rafa won in her first match this season against someone other than Jogurt, the whole world has turned upside down. Down is up, the sky is green and filled with grass, and heaven magic is not completely useless! I'm riding her to the finals. Since her skills are based on chance, she does technically have a chance.
Didn't Smarty Jones win the Kentucky Derby a year and a few months ago with similar odds? Didn't the Red Sox reverse the Curse? Didn't a game starring a plucky band of young rebels led by a boy with spiky hair, huge eyes, and a sword save the day from almost certain defeat? in ever other RPG you say...
Then it's simple. Rafa takes Light.
