Season 31, Week 1
Selphie Tilmitt
(Final Fantasy VIII)

The most energetic girl in the RPGDL is back! And Selphie Tilmett is ready to PAH-TAY! Selphie's first foe is a white mage, the class of dueler that tends to be Light because of their horrible durability. Well, Selphie fully intends to take advantage of that! Although her damage may not be all that great, she can surely handle one little wimpy girl. Compared to keeping up the morale in a group with angsty-pants Squall in it, this will be a piece of cake. Plus, all of Porom's dodging won't help against her perfect accuracy... and if she can access her limits, The End tends to be a hard thing to argue with.

Porom's a quick study - with Palom around to keep her on her toes, she almost has to be. And like her younger brother, she draws a Final Fantasy 8 PC in her return to the DL. Mirroring that one sided match, Porom has every advantage on her side to shut down Selphie. Like Palom, she boasts countless status attacks, all of which easily cripple Selphie. Even if Selphie were to get a turn, the perky girl's physical only does a fraction of that of Squall's or Rinoa's. Porom's in no danger of being killed in a hit. The only problem's she has is figuring out if she should take out Selphie with damage or status!

Grefter
It is a bleak day for the Duelling League (well probably not really). Today we have encountered the first (well probably not really) defeat by drug addiction.

Selphie is now hospitalised and there are millions of well wishers (well probably not really) outside her hospital to give her familly her sympathy (don't even ask).

The charges against Porom for dealing have not stuck (shock), connections between Porom and the Shady Thousand are suspected and accusations of the Judges of being on the take are wild. Porom was not available for comment, but when approached Shady Thousand himself had this to say "It is a real shame, kids these days. What can you expect from a girl who is friends with a fairy? Pixie sticks ain't exactly a difficicult thing to for a girl like that to get her hands on if you know what I mean. Now get lost kid, you bother me."

Selphie Tilmitt: 47
Porom: 69

SnowFire
In perhaps the slowest match of all time, a tiny Selphie is battered about by Porom's non-existent offense, eventually resulting in a Full Cure to start the cycle over again. 7 hours later, with the crowd having long since left, the match finally comes to The End. Took long enough.
