Having put aside the anti-physical Tenkai Star Thomas, Mallow now faces an opponent who great resembles his first foe. Like Ard, Mallow's current foe Saki is a pure physical boss who Mallow will have to defeat with a mix of healing and offence. The task will be harder for Mallow this time around, though... because Saki not only has Ard badly beaten in the durability department, which will cause Mallow to worry about FP conservation, but can also boost her stats, which may doom Mallow if the fight goes on too long. Still, with his powerful HP Rain, excellent (for Light) Shocker attack, and not-pathetic physical with Sonic Cymbals in a pinch, Mallow is well set up to advance to the finals.

Saki's proving herself in Light, and she doesn't intend to let her run stop here. Like anyone, she has no fear of Mallow's attacks, and her stat boosting will pain him badly when she smacks. Still, the Sergeant of Garlyle can't be all too overconfident, since the little 'tadpole' could be a problem. Or not.

Once more, Valentina's kooky schemes screwed up Mallow. This time, though, it wasn't on purpose. You see, it was Valentina who convinced Miguel who convinced Terra who convinced Ramladu who convinced Brahms who convinced Menardi who convinced Zeal who convinced Seymour who convinced Zophar who convinced everyone to have the arena to switch over to a 24-hour clock. Mallow just didn't show up, because he assumed 3:30 would be in the afternoon, not the morning. Now then, who do you think convinced Valentina to convince everyone?
Mallow: 4
Saki: 9
