The elven wind races on, having disposed of a pesky birdlike! Now, the swift gale Stallion has to face... uh... what is Erk's major distinction anyway? He's just... a typical Fire Emblem mage. Who is pestered by that annoying Serra cleric. So, the wielder of the Godspeed Rune, fastest runner on two continents, extraordinary elven hunter... faces a generic mage and a magnet for clerical annoyance? Another easy match for Stallion, seems like! With his mighty piercing arrows, he will shear Erk's highly frail constitution in no time, and his far higher speed will ensure that the big-nosed elf will end Erk's life faster than his weakish Thunder spells can whittle the runner down. Counters could be an issue, but Stallion can at least try to aim farther than Erk can cast, and maybe avoid problems that way. Regardless, the sprinter of god cannot lose here to such a generic spellcaster!

Oh, what a bore. First, Erk was matched against a woman whose only tactic is to heal in the hopes of making the battle last as long as possible. Then, he was matched against another such fighter in the Dezolisian Raja... only this one insisted on telling bad jokes every time he healed himself! And now, Erk has to face an elf. What an enthralling opponent. He's probably an archer, and an arrogant one, too. The sheer monotony of this tournament is almost enough to have the Etrurian mage wishing for Serra's company, but at least, the end is in sight. He needs but two more wins to capture a Light championship, and Stallion's not likely to stop him. Certainly, the blue-haired elf is fast, but Erk is speedy too, enough to avoid dreaded doubles. A few Thunder counters, maybe a timely dodge or two, and Erk will be on his way for what will surely be a boring Light final.

Run, Stallion!
Run like the wind!
Your ultimate talent will be the end of Erk!
Run, for everlasting peace!

"...that was stupid." Erk noted, as he, along with the rest of the crowd, stared blankly at Stallion's body, plastered against the arena wall.
Nope.
Stallion runs fast.
But he still can't run up walls.
Next time, he really needs to use a door.
Stallion: 21
Erk: 35
