Sergeant Mio faces a significantly tougher opponent than her Grandia compatriot Guido this week, as she battles with a former Middle. However, the same strategies will serve her just as well against the magician from Vane as they did against the Mogay elder. She can either spam her paralysing-and-damaging Stun Gun to great effect against Mia, or slow her down with Cold and heal away her occasional damage. Either way, she's in good shape to win this battle of the similarly named. |

Mia's got a tough fight ahead of her in this battle. She'll need every ounce of speed the Wind Cane can give her, and the damage of her magic to take out Mio quickly. Granted, Mio is the most fragile of the trio of Garlyle sergeants, but her status attacks can be frightening if they hit. Mia will need more than a touch of luck to avoid them all, but if she does, her spells will send Mio into la-la land. |
Dark Holy Elf I'd call Mio's victory over Mia a triumph of brains over brawn, but that would imply that Mia could take a hit. Unfortunately, the Lunar mage is so weak that she fears the normally pathetic damage of Mio's Stungun almost as much as the paralysis it inflicts. Almost. Mio: 11 |
