Hey, it's a good old-fashioned slugfest between two Fire Emblem axefighters. This might not be exactly what comes to mind when you think of the Light Semifinals, but considering the strength of the two involved, they've more than earned their spots here. Too bad it's about to be the end of the line for the Greil Mercenary vice-commander: Bartre may not have her advanced training from knighthood, nor her elegant composure on the battlefield, but he has a crucial edge, which some might call the only one that matters: pure brute strength. When it comes down to it, the axe is a weapon not for the swift and skilled, but for the mighty. And with his sizable advantage in pure power, the big dumb brute will knock his opponent right off of her high horse, quite literally, and muscle his way into the finals.

This match is almost insulting to the beautiful Titania. Her opponent is a crude, ugly idiot, while she is a finely-tuned machine of battle, having trained for years to fight with her axe. When brute strength comes against relentless skill, skill almost always wins, and this case is no real exception. While Bartre is no doubt stronger than the Greil Mercenary, Titania possesses more than a little edge in intelligence, skill, finesse, and generally not being Bartre. She should be able to duck around the Warrior's axe attacks once or twice, and that's about all she needs to tilt the damage edge back into her favor. Bartre is not going to be able to figure out what hit him, but then again, Bartre is not able to figure out a lot of things, even less so when they have Titania's sheer elegance.

"I thought you told me writing 'Rune Cannon' on my axe would work!" Bartre bellowed at a rather peeved Erk.
"Look. Firstly, it didn't... it wasn't even supposed to work against Snowe, damnit. Secondly, Rune Cannons aren't Titania's weakness, you dimwit - you actually have to fight her. Waving your axe around like an idiot's not going to do jack to her."
"So... you're telling me that you gave me bad advice." Bartre said solemnly.
"No, I did -not- give you - well, in all point of fact it should have been bad advice but it wasn't! It's not my fault you went up against a flat-out superior fighter. Sheesh." Erk grimaced. "Look, next time you face off against her, just tell her that she's both a cradle and a grave robber. That'll make her pissed off enough that you'll win just fine."
Bartre eyed Erk skeptically, before walking out. Erk shook his head. "Idiot..."
Bartre: 8
Titania: 38
