A little girl from the Grasslands? Well, that's not so bad for a trained knight of Razri... what? A Wind Rune? Oh no. No no no no. That changes EVERYTHING. How the heck is Tal supposed to defend against someone whose every attack goes straight through him!? Calm down. That's just in war battles. She's still a little girl, her spells aren't automatic win here. Just terrifying. No, she's a little girl, a good thwack from a sword and a little showmanship will put her right down, and Tal can definitely deliver both of those. Just don't use the Earth Rune tactically. Focus on the blade, and everything will be okay. Definitely. |

Wind vs Earth! The clash of two opposing primordial elements! Oh right, via the might of two Suikoden fighters in Light, so don’t expect anything too titanic. Or anything too balanced, given that Tal’s poor Magic and below average Speed make his use of his Earth Rune incredibly limited. On the other hand, Shabon’s Wind Rune gives her not only accurate debilitating status, but also plenty of healing. Pair that with solid evasion, superior speed, a surprisingly competent physical for a small girl and Tal’s own low accuracy, and Shabon should have little difficulty blowing Tal out of the arena and back to the barracks. |
