As Chrono Cross’s resident scientist, Luccia should be glad that her first match is against as interesting a specimen as Yumei. However, she will have to keep her mind focused on the battle if she's going to win in her debut. With her Level 5 status attack Mix&Match, Luccia could make this a very short battle. If that fails, she has the power of her other techs to back her up, and even her physical attack will do heavy damage to her frail opponent. The general hypothesis is that Luccia can win this one. Will the conclusion be the same? |

Half human, half mermaid, and all (albeit minor) goddess, the mage Yumei is making her debut in Light this week against the researcher Luccia. Utilizing her Frigid Damsel spell, she'll be able to hit hard (and have the chance to outright freeze Luccia), even if it isn’t very often. With the help of her avian Wait-Reaction familiar on off turns though, she should be able to unleash a Purify Weird Soul fairly quickly. After that, all the science in the world won't save Luccia from a mermaid's wrath. |
Halbarad Yumei went into the arena, full of confidence - after all, characters from Chrono Cross were famed for their inability to fight, so she should have no trouble at all taking down one of its less-than-well-known crew, right? Unfortunately, a pair of flasks and a shower of needles proved her quite wrong, and Luccia chuckled as she walked out of the ring. She'd always wanted to do demi-human experimentation... Luccia: 23 |
