Season 15, Week 1
Chaco
(Suikoden II)

Some warriors might be intimidated by Jaffar's cold, cruel demeanor and frightening reputation, but Chaco is not one of them. Ever the free-spirited optimist, he flies into the ring this week expecting not only to win, but to have a hell of a time flying circles around his foe. Chaco's seen how poorly Jaffar has fared against flyers from his game of origin, and is feeling pretty good about his maneuverability advantage. And heck, even if he doesn't win, one thing will console me: Jaffar's pockets are going to be a lot emptier by the end of the match, whichever way it goes.

The Angel of Death debuts in Light this week, dissatisfied with his division assignment and determined to advance to a more satisfactory placement. In his way stands an obnoxious piece of Suikotrash with poor stats who won't even require one of the assassin's infamous criticals. His opponent's spear will doubtlessly have Jaffar bringing out the Lancereaver to reverse his weapon triangle disadvantage, and then Chaco will be lucky to land one hit through the Black Fang's evasion before the relentless attacks and counters bring the impudent boy down.

Chaco is a Thief. Jaffar is a promoted Thief with many starting stats above the Thief stat cap.

...Okay, so that's not how it really works, but in this case the comparison is probably fairly accurate.

Chaco: 7
Jaffar: 36
