Season 19, Week 2
Alanis
(Suikoden III)

With Melville already having two appearances in the DL, it's high time the other St. Loa Knights had a chance to prove their mettle in battle! Alanis may be young and inexperienced in combat, but that just makes her first opponent more appropriate. Cinna will be a good warm-up for the young magess--quite literally, once Explosion comes into play. Hanging out with a group of travelling actors is hardly the best route to becoming an offensive powerhouse, so it's no surprise that there's nothing Cinna can do to stop Alanis before he's burnt to a crisp by her high-powered fire magic.

Cinna's first DL match was a pathetic one-sided slaughter in his opponent's favor. This time, his match is a different brand of pathetic: both contestants rank among the most horrible duellers in the lowest division... which of course means it will be one of the longest, most boring fights in existence. Much to Cinna’s delight, though, Alanis uses magic that he can nullify given the right accessories. And a mage with nothing but her extremely awful physical is very sad indeed! And once Cinna beats her in the face with his giant hammer, he'll be on the lookout for the next tiny little girl to vanquish...

Cinna had an amazing plan this fight. It was too simple. No way he could lose with it...

Except that he made fatal error. His plan was centered entirely around Alanis, being a small child, being so scared of Cinna's face that she'd run out of the match. Well, she was scared, but instead of running out of the match, she just burn Cinna's face off making it a much more bearable sight.
