Season 3, Week 3
Quistis Trepe
(Final Fantasy VIII)

Palom's a kid who could use more than his fair share of discipline, and as a school teacher with a whip, who better to do that than Quistis Trepe? Unfortunately, if the Garden instructor isn't able to cow and/or charm the foul-mouthed young boy from Mysidia into submission, she has little chance in this fight given the plethora of magic at Palom's command. She can at least take consolation in the fact that her physical isn't that bad, and Palom's physical durability is nothing short of pathetic. Also, if Palom is stupid enough not to go for instant death (and he just might be), there's a good chance of her getting off her Degenerator limit, which would spell instant win for her. It's definitely not a walk in the Garden for Quistis, though.

Palom's going from one end of the visual spectrum to the other, this week. After fighting (and crushing) the portly Ramus, fighting a sexy teacher type like Quistis is going to be a pleasant change of pace for Palom. If he doesn't get too distracted by his opponent's looks, it'll be an easy win for him. He can bypass her limits with either death or stone, and he can easily outslug Quistis with his powerful flare spell.

Ok, so Palom will lose a few turns looking Instructor Trepe over. She get him with the whip a few times, prompting a few comments that would have Porom breaking out the mallet. [Or tugging him away by the ear for all you Pokemon fans.] But throughout all this, Quistis herself takes no damage. And no damage = no limits.

At around the halfway mark of Palom's HP, both sides get a bit smarter. Quistis prepares to whip herself, when Palom says, "It's been fun, but it's time for you to go." With that, he casts Fatal.

What Palom says next I won't say. Just suffice to say Porom jumps down to mallet her immature borther and drag him by the ear, all the while muttering 'why do I have to have him as a twin?'

Quistis Trepe: 3
Palom: 12

Super
Flare HURTS. So does Death, as Quistis lacks both the stats or equipment to resist it, and the damage to put Palom down before the move becomes a factor.
