Season 50, Week 1
Dorcas
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

So Dorcas is doubled by his FE castmate Louise. So what? Being doubled doesn't matter when you have far more durability and strength than your opponent, and can change up weapons to slaughter your foe to boot. Whether he uses a bow or his trusty axe, it will only take two swings from the mighty Dorcas to fell Louise. A mere three arrows is all he'll have to withstand from Pent's lovely wife, which is a task he's easily able to handle. Dorcas has suffered far worse slings and outrages from fate in his quest to get the medicine his wife so badly needs, after all. Hurting a friend may be sad, but it's a price the axeman is willing to pay to get the job done.

Louise and Dorcas were once allies in a great conflict, but all companionship gets left at the door when stepping into the DL arena. Now the two fight in a classic case of Beauty vs the Beast. Louise will have to use her range and vastly superior speed and finesse to get past the mighty Dorcas. She should be able to dodge around his axe enough to get in enough shots to fell the gigantic man, and if he tries using his bow, he may as well be committing suicide--Louise is an undeniably better archer. The real fight here is the pending court battle between Louise and the DL. Apparently, her lawyers believe it's immoral to make a pregnant woman fight to the death in a gladiatorial setting.

Taishyr
Louise threw the match. Louise now has a Axe Ballista she's taken a liking to, thanks to Dorcas, Louise, and Pent figuring out how to make one.

Louise, Pent, Dorcas, and Natalie now spend their spare time sniping Ghaleon off from 10,000 miles away, much to his endless annoyance. TimeLord ensures that the group is never caught.

Dorcas: 37
Louise: 25

Twilkitri
Twist endings abounded this round as bookie-favourite if not crowd-favourite Dorcas fell before Louise in a shocking display. The round started exactly as GambleCo's strategists had predicted: Louise attacked Dorcas from afar, with him returning the favour with his own bow. He grasped his axe and prepared to finish the job... then he hit himself in the face really hard. As it turned out someone had swapped his Silver Axe for a Devil Axe. Inquiries are being made but it is suspected that there are far too many people with the opportunity, means, and especially motive for there to be any chance of solving this case.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Making it hard for people to argue with an axe to their face is one way to get ahead in life, but it's pretty hard to argue with an axe to your own face.
