Season 52, Week 1
Duessel
(Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones)

As an honourable general, fighting young girls usually isn't in the job description. But, when the arena calls, one must face the opponent in front of you without hesitation - as any opening of your guard could be lethal in the arena. None know this better than the Fire Emblem Obsidian General, one of Grado's finest leaders. However, victory won't do much to show the fine warrior tradition of Grado in this instance, as despite her skill with healing magics, Mint will be hard pressed to really put a dent in Duessel's titanic armor, and Mint's frailty will leave her fodder for one good hit with a Killer weapon. Well, at least it should be a quick fight this time around; perhaps Mint will even back out before the match starts, leaving Duessel's spirits high as he advances onward to the next round.

This looks quite unfair at a glance. A gentle, demure little cleric pitted against a hallowed battle veteran who is capable of wielding just about any weapon? Well, this glance is certainly misleading; while Duessel may be a battle-hardened soldier with quite a reputation, this somehow fails to translate as actual fighting prowess. Slow, surprisingly frail and lacking in skill, the Obsidian General is pathetic - pathetic enough to give Mint quite the chance. While her damage is mocked by the likes of Suikodogs, the cleric has very deep magical reserves and is surprisingly stout for a healer, which should come in handy for this long battle of attrition. Thwack by thwack, Mint can slowly but surely bring down Duessel and move onwards - and that'll look good on her resume to boot.

Gatewalker
There's really no use beating around the bush for this one, Duessell won the match quite handily. The impressive thing is just how LONG it took him to manage that. Mint just kept healing. Long after any Fire Emblem healer's staff would have broken from overuse, she just kept healing.

Eventually a lucky critical put her down, leaving the Grado general to accept his victory.

In related news, Grado's magical research teams have turned their focus towards new and better healing staves. This research is helped drastically by the newest researcher on the team, one miss Mint Adenade. A quick interview revealed that she is quite satisfied with her new job, though she does have one small complaint.

The life insurance policy is horrible.
