Nana makes her debut in the Duelling League with high expectations to meet; after all, her fellow Garlyle Sergeants have respectable records. While Nana lacks both Saki's staying power and Mio's status effects, she still remains a Light not to be taken lightly. Both her physical and magical attacks pack a moderate punch for the division, and she doesn't fall quickly. Against Gandar, she's in good shape to start a run of her own, as the Villnore general/mage's long charge times and pitiful durability make him an easy mark for the NCO. Victory is clearly within Nana's grasp... if the more experienced military man doesn't outwit her, that is!

It's taken ten seasons, but VP's other male mage has finally gotten his chance in the Arena. Though Gandar would certainly appear to be old and decrepit, it's a good rule of thumb not to judge magi by appearance alone. Armed with powerful great magics, including the dreaded Celestial Star, Gandar is well poised to take down nearly any Light fighter. Luckily for him, Nana is a definite Light fighter, so this match should be short and relatively easy for the sapient sorceror. Even if his magicks alone will not see him through, his tactics are as ruthless and cunning as one would expect in a wizened wizard; Gandar wants this win, and will pull out all the stops to get it.

Though Gandar's magic may be capable of tearing holes in the very fabric of time, he is still an old man, and vulnerable against one thing: Having lived in dark, dreary places for many years, knowing only the physical forms of Ogres and other beasts, the sight of a real woman after so long gave the old man a heart attack.
Nana: 18
Gandar: 16
