After cutting his way through the less than mighty monk Gong, Slash faces an opponent possibly even weaker. With Irvine's poor stats, Slash should have no difficulty in beating down the gunner, though he'll have to be careful. A single Limit from Irvine would be more than enough to take down the swordsman Mystic, but it's more likely that Slash will have won the match before it even comes into play. The last thing the SeeD will hear before he's planted six feet under will no doubt be a rousing cry of "Yes, indeed!"

This week, Irvine had best play it carefully. Pitted against the Mystic Swordsman, Slash, the sniper has lots of problems with his match. Perhaps his largest quandary stems from Slash's counter game, one of the most brutal in Light. Irvine needs to keep a cool head and not get too far into the action. His only chance for winning here relies on his allowing himself to be thrown into limit range, and lucking out by drawing one. Assuming he does do this, Slash is going to find himself filled with lead, and Irvine will be one step closer to the Light Championship.
