If ever there were someone Rafa could deal with in a one-on-one, it's Freed Yamamoto. While her stats are low going on poor, and she has a bit of a weakness to magic with her counter tackle will go off less than half the time, she cannot rely on her innate class. Even worse, her innate skill, while decently powerful when she's lucky, can miss altogether, and doesn't do that much with a single hit. However, she does have a saving grace in this battle. A good physical attack that leaves her beyond Freed's counter attack range, and an enemy with a physical attack that's weaker than hers, especially since it's an element that her innately equipped White Robe automatically halves, leaving Freed dealing half of his already mediocre damage. And so, by sticking with her physical attack, Rafa ought to have the easy win for her first showing.

The assistant to Lord Granmeyer, Freed Y has... distinct stats. Like many Lights. With the magic stats of a fighter and the physical stats of a mage, he's never a threat to do much damage, though at least he boasts decent defence with his Shields. Fortunately for him, he can at least do reliable damage, which is strengthened somewhat by his Lightning weapon Rune. And reliable damage is one thing his opponent can NOT claim. Will Freed's dependable mediocrity beat out Rafa's random slightly-less-mediocrity in this titanic duel?

Freed Y entered the arena with his sword sheathed on his back. Looking around, he could find neither hide nor hair of his opponent. Scratching his head, he shrugged and assumed that Rafa had forfeited and that he was simply not told of it. Just as he started to walk away, he found himself deep within a hole in the arena. Confused he looked up to see Rafa sporting a shovel as she was in mid chant.
3 to 5 bursts of Heaven Magic later, Rafa ensured her victory by way of spamming an attack that while random, was also subject to height restrictions.

Freed, for once, has an opponent that he could probably beat in a physical duel, if it weren't for one small catch. He can't remove the Lightning Rune on his weapon, and Rafa's initially equipped White Robe halves all the damage he does.
