Season 24, Week 3
Yang
(Final Fantasy IV)

The claw wielders of Final Fantasy IV have taken the League by storm this season. Yang isn't the showstopping terror that castmate Edge is, but he's a dangerous foe in his own right with the godly stats you'd expect from a chiseled, devoted Monk. Adept with both his hands and feet, Yang brings the pain to any duels. He'll push Gijimu to his very limits just on raw toughness - and that's before his status-inflicting claws wreck the Lampdragon bandit. Yang is fighting on the side of law and justice, and his powers are more than enough to dispatch a lowly thief, no matter how well regarded or how many titles he's won.

Few of the League's hardened veterans can claim to have never lost in his original division, but such is the case with Gijimu. The leader of the Lampdragon bandits is out to prove prove that his first title was no fluke - a simple task. President Lepant proved no obstacle, and neither will monk-turned-monarch Yang Fabool. Yang's claws will hardly scratch Gijimu's heavy armour, while the bandit, armed with his Double-Beat Rune, will shred the poorly-defended monk in a matter of seconds. Even if Yang gets a lucky status in, so what? Those wear off quickly, while the same can't be said of Yang's memories of the brutal beating he is about to suffer!

Gijimu's a wise man. He took one look at a review of the horrific carnage in Rydia vs Luc, and when he saw that Yang was his foe..

..A Final Fantasy 4 character, who mastered the art of kicking...

Well, who can blame Gijimu for bowing and quickly forefiting?

Yang: 52
Gijimu: 31
