Season 32, Week 1
Shante
(Arc the Lad Collection)

The lovely singer Shante has once again entered the DL arena, and is looking to make the battlefield her own glorious performance stage, in an effort to prove that Karyl isn’t the only bard that can dominate the division. Luckily, her first opponent should give her a chance to show the majesty of her talents without risking her fair skin. Seth’s mediocre attacks will have trouble sticking in face of the draining Divide, and Sleep Wind can knock out her paladin enemy while simultaneously damaging him. Light shall come to fear the voice of Shante.

Devoted retainer to Erikia and Ephraim and loyal hero - it's a mantle Seth the Paladin wears with pride. Defending Renais's honor through combat is something he's very good at, with many victories and honors under his belt at a relatively young age. From battles with Cecil to epic duels in Light, Seth has nothing to be ashamed of. Nor will he have anything to fear in light, especially from a lass like Shante. Packing poor physical staying power and relying on healing to get by fights is just asking to get knocked down a few pegs by a vicious critical from Seth.

Pyromania
The match between Shante and Seth was supposed to be intense and heated. A clash of Divide and Sleep Wind against Silver Sword and Killer Lance, as two duelers struggled to bring glory to themselves in the arena (well, as much glory as you can get in the division with Euram and Jogurt).

But the match went nothing like that. Shante beat Seth into the ground without him so much as raising his sword against her. She didn't really understand why, but she figured it had something to do with the clothes Shu had convinced her to put on for the match.

Of course, it isn't really surprising that Seth wouldn't harm a blue-haired girl who obsessed over her brother and was wearing Eirika's outfit.

No more surprising than Shante being asked out by Ephraim after the match.
