Season 48, Week 1
Mel
(Suikoden III)

This season better go well for Mel. She lost her usual panhandling spot to Nel's Streetperforming Trio to be here today, after all! She's facing May, a quite abnormal DL competitor (although she's such a nobody that who would care anyway), and Mel understands her pain of being part animal - with reservations. Mel's Devil Doll Rune is a blessing and a curse, and while it allows her to earn a living, it's also got the foulest mouth this side of Cid Highwind. It'll still help her out against a mere archer though, half-horse or otherwise. Branky is still a big bad wolf, and half-woman or not, May will just end up as puppet food at the end of this match.

Most little girls around this time of year are pleading with their parents or Santa Claus or Kwanzaa-bot to get them a Pony. And this holiday season, though she's mostly grown up, Mel finally gets her wish! Unfortunately for her, this pony is half-woman, a crackshot with a bow and arrow at that. May possesses a deadly aim, and is capable of hitting either Mel OR her annoying puppet between the eyes at twenty horse-sized paces. Though her defense isn't exactly winning olympic medals, when her opponent is an undersized young lady wielding a hand-puppet, May has little reason to worry about what weaknesses she may have.

May ran out of the arena crying.

Branky has been arrested on five counts of public indecency and three counts of sexual harassment.

Mel has to stand outside the jail with her hand through a hole in which Branky must wait.

Sometimes, there's just no good way to explain a match.
