FFT made quite a mark on Middle last season, and Beowulf is here to mirror Izlude's achievement and grab back-to-back championships for his cast. And this Rena will be little more than a speedbump in his path. Despite her high Magic Defense - usually a problem for Beowulf - Rena has little she can do to actually damage Beowulf, and her healing will only last so long under constant attack. Finally, by wielding an Aegis Shield, he can guard against what paltry tricks Rena still has. All this adds up to her being hard-pressed to even hold Beowulf back, giving him ample time to land his trademark status tricks.

When you look at this match, you might think that Rena is in trouble. Her opponent’s vast array of status attacks could wreak havoc on anyone vulnerable to them, which could spell disaster for Rena on its own. However, she does hold one very crucial advantage in this match: speed. Since Rena will be taking her turn before the sluggish knight, she has a chance to end this battle before he even moves. She lacks the pure damage for a one-shot kill, but by using Energy Net to inflict Stun, she can take Beowulf out of the fight for good. This battle is far from hopeless; all she needs is one good shot.
SageAcrin Rena's hope for this match was simple enough.
In her world, she found that she could get dozens of attacks for every one her enemy got off. She was simply that fast of a fist fighter.
Therefore, all she had to do was keep punching. Simple enough.
Unfortunatly, she forgot two things. A rule of her own world, and a rule of Beowulf's.
As the battle started, Rena slowly ran up to Beowulf....who promptly attempted to turn her into a statue before reaching him.
Beowulf could move around without a real-time issue, and could attack Rena long before he was reached by her slow movement speed. Fortunatly for Rena, this first attack missed. As she started smacking Beowulf, she thought she had a good chance...
...When the second problem arose, as Beowulf blocked her third punch. As she froze, midswing, for several seconds, he used Break on her again, and succeded this time.
