Plants don't like fire. Plant-like monsters like fire mages even less. So you'd think Venusaur, who is premiering in the DL along with his buddy Blastoise, doesn't stand a chance against Kyra. That's far from the truth, though. Venusaur's Razor Leaf is a nasty attack which will put quite a dent on the Esper, and he boasts fairly respectable magical durability as well. Leech Seed drains Kyra's own health should he need restoration. Venusaur is here to show that plants aren't there just to look pretty and writhe in pain as they get scorched!

Kyra's become a tad dendrophobic after that little incident at the Carnivorous forest, but she's in a better position in this match than she thinks. If she could manage to use her fear in a positive way, she just might get the little bit of extra oomph to cure herself of her phobia. With some nice fire magic in Nafoi and Flaeli to exploit her plant opponent's biggest weakness, not to mention a huge healing reservior as a backup, she won't exactly need the Eclipse Torch to carry the day in this match.
