If there is one rule that holds true across the RPG multiverse, it's that youth always trumps age, and this match should prove no exception. While the aging Elaine may have the magical advantage over the youthful Ryudo, the Geohound has the tools to make sure that the mature "beauty" goes down for the count. With the divine might of the Granasaber and Sky Dragon Slash, Ryudo can control a power that normal men and women can barely comprehend. With his resulting high speed and stats, the Geohound will tear through Elaine in a matter of seconds, demonstrating that no matter how much makeup she applies, nobody is fooled. |

Duke's loyal henchwoman and drunken cohort is best known for her water rune and the havoc it wrecks on most DL middles. Ryudo can hardly handle her hampering healing, so her superb swordsmanship is situationally superfluous. Her three fast swings a round provide a respectable offensive, though she scarcely needs it in this mismatch with an enemy so helpless against her rune. Elaine can easily cancel out Ryudo's damage until he runs out of it, at which point she may dispatch him at her leisure. The Geohound's one-dimensional fighting style may have served him well thus far, but this round finds him simply outclassed. |
superaielman Ryudo wondered if his luck could get worse. Not only was he facing a healer this round, but he couldn't even access the training grounds. "Damn Zophar. No way I'll be able to get past him." His training partner Roan frowned, then scuffed the ground with his shoe. "Let's go talk to Melfice. Maybe he'll have an idea." ---- Ryudo heard several loud explosions coming from the area where Melfice was supposed to be duelling. "Looks like the plan worked." As Melfice came running to the ring, the bell to start the match rang. Ryudo drew his sword and began to power onto Sky Dragon Slash... Elaine wondered why Ryudo was attack.. with his eyes closed. She saw a familiar, cute face behind him, mimicking his moves.. Then the world exploded in a flash of gold, and Elaine felt two crisscrossing blows land on her chest. Then she felt no more. ---- Zophar's timing had been nothing short of brilliant. The golden flash of light had blinded everyone but Melfice and Ryudo, who had their eyes closed. While it only lasted for a few seconds, it was more than enough time for the brothers to knock Elaine out with Demon Horde and Sky Dragon Slash. Melfice congratulated Ryudo on his win, then made his way over to Zophar. "I told you that it would benefit us both. Next week.. we'll see who's the better Godlike, eh?" Instead of the usual laugh, Melfice got a silent nod from Zophar- a sign of respect from the normally contempous destroyer. --- Ryudo wondered briefly what kind of fallout there'd be from this.. then shrugged. If nothing else, a win is a win, even if it requires outside assistance. Ryudo: 29 |
