After his victory over the Walking Cliche of Doom last week, Gryz has in front of him one of the most interesting opponents his division - and maybe the entire league - has to offer. Setting aside their odd appearances, both Gryz and Cait Sith are former Light Champions who upgraded to Middle; Cait Sith was the first Light Champ. Gryz was last season's Light Champ. The alpha and the omega, if you will. Well, with his solid durability, magic-blocking Psycho Mail to defend against status, and his trusty ax, Gryz is ready to bring about a doomsday of his own making on the deformed puppet. |

Behind the veneer of a mog-riding marionette cat hides a mind of sophistication and rare intelligence. Cait Sith already garnered many victories for his master puppeteer Reeve, and this time, he yearns for a Middle championship. The old mercenary Duke fell victim to the cat's body-changing tricks, and Gryz should be no different. Cait is faster, immune to Gryz's instant-death trick thanks to a strategically equipped Safety Bit, faces an opponent with no defense against Mini and Toad. The mindplay and deceit of the big city shall prove too much for a Motavian simpleton to handle. |
Joou Ranbu We all know that Chaz isn't very bright. We also know that Chaz likes buying useless trinkets from trips he takes as souvenirs, while Rika blabs at him for wasting his hard-earned Meseta in such pointless things. That doesn't stop him from getting a woodcarven sandworm or badly coloured pennants from Termi. Which leads us to Chaz' vacation week with Rika in Costa del Sol. He was surprised to see there was a lady in a barrack selling a rare, unique miniature of his old friend Gryz. In Costa Del Sol, of all places! And a miniature of Gryz that danced the Charleston while singing the Asereje song! Which leads us to the match. The result was predictable - Cait Sith turned Gryz into a miniature, squished him and that was that. Reeve, however stuffed the poor Motavian and sold him to an old saleslady in Costa Del Sol. Leading us to Chaz. Even now, he hasn't noticed the truth behind the trinket he bought. Meanwhile, Reeve is sitting at home, laughing by himself. Apparently, having apparently pointless recently given supernatural powers is a lot of fun. Gryz: 17 |
