Season 31, Week 5
Popoi
(Secret of Mana)

With his toughest opponent of the season beaten, Popoi confidently strides into the finals. This time, against a girl! Well, it's too bad, because Popoi can't show any mercy to the tyke. She'll need it, too, despite having access to the Reflect spell. Popoi is faster than Eiko and can disable her with either Silence or Sleep Petal in an instant. Even if somehow Eiko were able to go first, what could she do? If she tries to Reflect herself, she loses the ability to heal, and that gives Popoi a chance to begin charging his weapon up for a devastating attack. No matter how you hash it, Popoi is the victor already!

Eiko Carol has followed the same path that Garnet did nearly thirty seasons ago, a white mage and part-time summoner tearing through the ranks of Middle. While she came in second for the race for Zidane's heart, she isn't going to be shown up in battle by her older ally. Popoi has an impressive skillset, but he has nothing that combined powers of Eiko's Eidolons and magic can't counter. With Reflect to more or less shut down all of Popoi's tricks, all she'll have to do is avoid a high level critical attack from his boomerang. Good thing Mini's just the thing to turn the already-tiny sprite into a harmless speck, huh?
