It's been said that the robots we build will eventually become our Overlords. But which kind shall prevail, you ask? Robot or cyborg? Well, what better way to see which type of robot will triumph than to pit both against each other in the arena? None, we say! Representing true robots everywhere, we have Thursday, coming a long assembly line of proven combat machines! His frame boasts stalwart defenses that can stand up to Ziggy's wimpy, meaty cyborg punches, and Ziggy shall have a tough time choking a neckless bot. An arsenal of wildly flailing arms and a bazooka round out a solid offense. Thursday has been the Defender of Earth's partner for some time now, and this RPGDL Middle Season he will prove just how much he deserves that roll - and, maybe, a shiny Middle belt for a bonus, yes?

In a party where many of the characters have... how can you put it delicately... psychological issues, Ziggy is a resilient pillar of stability. The cyborg is always cool and composed, no matter the situation. And while his inflexibility and coldness may addle some of his companions, he is always reliable. This trait carries over to his endeavors in the Arena (although his horrible luck has also followed through...). His first two stints in the DL were both against to-be champions, but they say the third time is the charm! The Starman now fights the weak Disgaea robot Thursday, who will have issues handling Ziggy's excellent durability, and the buffing tricks will also be a massive advantage against his opponent. His metal frame should easily take Thursday’s special attacks, and Ziggy's own offense should crush the puny robot mercilessly.

"BEEP. BEEP. ALERT!! ALERT!! ZIGGY IS STARING AT KOS-MOS' THIGHS! PERVERT! PERVERT!"
"Wait, what? I didn't!" tried to explain an uncharacteristically flustered Ziggy to a crowd of warriors who had become quite intolerant of perverts since their initial inductions into the RPGDL. Thursday used the opportunity to use a Bandit Hand to steal Ziggy's equipment.
Or would have, if the super robot hadn't realised a few basic strategic errors on its own part.
1) Thursday had left most of its armor off, intending to equip Ziggy's after stealing it. It would have made for a colorful win.
2) There was no base panel in the arena, so Thursday wouold be unable to change equipment once it stole some.
3) Thursday was unarmored against a cyborg it had just thoroughly pissed off.
So Thursday, ever adaptable, changed plans when it saw a new path to victory open before its... sensors.
Thursay reached out, and stole Ziggy's Heart.
Too bad all it really did was get Thursday +4 RES before Ziggy turned around and began smashing the poor robot...
Thursday: 15
Ziggy: 57

Although Thursday has a variety of ballistic attacks, Ziggy is a veritable mountain. "This battle was over before it even began..."
