You can't keep a good phoenix down. No, seriously, you can't. They make reincarnation a lifestyle, so it shouldn't be much surprise that Shining Force II's resident firebird is back to take another crack at nailing a title. After all, he can't let the only champion from his series be one of its hated villains, now can he? And his first match of the season is an auspicious start: his opponent is a pure slugger with no gimmicks. Just like Peter, sure, but there are few who make being one-dimensional look as good as he does. With spectacular HP and terrific physical offense, Peter's attack style is as straightforward and uncomplicated as hitting someone with a mack truck. It might not be pretty, but it gets the job done. |

After meeting an untimely demise against the elite swordmaster Guy back in Season 16, Queen comes back for a second try at last (along with several of her compatriots!). This time she faces Peter, the legendary phoenix of Shining Force 2 fame. While her foe fights for justice, Queen merely fights for cold hard cash (and the chance to be by the side of the ever-charming Geddoe). Her mercenary experience will surely be an asset in her battle against the bird; her sword-swing will pierce his frail wings and quickly off her tornado-hurling opponent. Although he may rise like a phoenix after the battle is said and done, that's not enough to stop Queen from recording a win and proceeding to the next stage of the tournament. |
