Season 43, Week 3
Meru
(Legend of Dragoon)

The White Wolf had proved to be nothing more than a bump in the road. And hopefully he had learned his lesson! However, Vaynard won't be the only to be taught a lesson or two. The hyrbid Wingly/Dragoon dancer Meru plans to make it to the end and win herself a championship. Much as she did when taking out Vaynard, Meru will use the power of her Blue Sea Dragoon's powerful water-based spells for both great prowess, with such spells as her Diamond Dust and her great Blue Sea Dragon, as well as quick, replenishing healing in the form of Rainbow Breath. If Meru can hit Dragoon form, the rest of this battle should be a breeze. Tear might be a good match for the water Dragoon, but that's not reason to be worried. Just as soon as Meru lands her first attack and turned into a Dragoon, it'll be Tear who's in trouble. And that will be two for two!

A collected and calm military officer, against a happy bouncy painfully cheerful...legendary warrior? Yeah, Tear is a bit confused by that too. Shouldn't someone with the power of the Dragoon act with a bit more decorum? Well, that must only mean that Meru isn't worthy of that power in the first place. Like any good soldier, Tear has read up on her opponent, and knows well that Meru has an excellent magical smack in the Blue Sea Dragon, is rather quick, and absolutely hates physical attackers. Well, lucky for Meru that Tear is a Tales mage, right? Wrong. The Oracle Knight has her fair share of solid physical techniques that will be sure to keep the blue dragoon on the defensive, and when backed by Tear's excellent magic resistance and plentiful healing to let her survive Meru's attacks, this fight should be firmly under her control.

Dhyerwolf
If there's one thing Magical Dancer Meru can not resist, it's cutting a groove (often quite badly!) on the dance floor when a sexy tune comes on. So when Tear's melodious voice rang out, Meru grabbed the nearest sexy young thang to dance with.

Too bad for her that her dance floor was actually the arena, and that Tear's song of Judgement is quite painful for someone with a large fire weakness. Both Meru and her dance partner were made into a nice crispy treat for Tear to feed to some nice animal.

Clear Tranquil
Meru's physical frailty is overhyped. I never had a problem in game thanks to her speed w/th Rainbow Breath. 2HKO? Meru laughs. She goes first, gains 400 SP in one foul sweep and that SP let's her heal every round until she doubles and smashes puny physical hype with her powerful magic. Not to mention being in dragoon boosts Meru's defences. Tear isn't killing there.
