Season 47, Week 5
Boyd
(Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)

The Greil Mercenaries have put up an admirable showing this season. With seven wins already between them, they've shown what an elite fighting force they are, and the only reason they don't have more is that Oscar had the misfortune to run into his brother. Beowulf, sword or no, will be unable to withstand the colossus-like assault of the much swifter Boyd and his Silver Axe. He'll have trouble surviving long enough to even cast a spell, and if he does? His already inaccurate status attacks face Boyd's modest evasion. Boyd won't stop swinging his axe until he earns a championship; there's no way he can resist getting bragging rights over Oscar and Rolf!

After ages of waiting, Beowulf has finally reached the Middle championship, and he’s certainly not going to let some recently ranked upstart ruin his crowning glory. While Beowulf’s sluggish speed isn’t the best asset as Boyd, his excellent evasion and HP should ensure that he has few problems getting a turn. After that, his already accurate Paralyze, Sleep and Stone spells should be boosted to near perfect accuracy against Boyd’s rather bad magic resistance, giving the Temple Knight an easy win, as well as another nice statue to put in his castle’s ever growing museum - a castle he'll be purchasing with the money from the Middle championship rewards!

Usually, it's hard to argue with an axe to the face, as DL canon dictates. And Boyd, well aware of this fact, swept his way into Middle finals this season thanks to his trusty silver hatchets.

However, as a chicken'd Boyd tried to uselessly flail against Beowulf, the mystical knight just went ahead and plucked his feathers one by one. The threat of deep-frying a Greil poultry merc for a charity dinner was enough for the judges to give Beo the match, anyhow.

Lesson learned is that it's hard to argue with an axe to the face, but arguing against fowl abuse can be even harder.

The Female Pervert League didn't even have to intervene; Beowulf made Boyd hard as a rock as soon as the battle started. Of course, this ended the fight immediately.
