Season 49, Week 2
Ena
(Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)

's too bad that Ena bears the weight of tragedy and lost love heavy upon her. Were she a more cheerful person, she'd enter this battle with a positively huge smirk on her face. Why? Because her opponent Lucia is humiliatingly awful. With Ena's curve-breaking resistance, backed by her natural HP-regenerating Renewal skill, Lucia will fail to put even a dent into those draconic scales of Ena. Her lightning weakness only matters, after all, if Lucia can break Ena's resistance to do any damage in the first place. Ena can simply sit back on her throne, relax, and laugh off Lucia's pathetic magic. Ena has her sights set high this season, and this fickle goddess certainly won't stop her. She will simply put on her grim mask of determination, and easily outlast her foe.

The Princess of the Blue Star returns to the arena for a rather bizarre battle, but one she has a tactical edge in. After all, General Ena's greatest strategy is to just... withstand blows like an immovable wall. Against such immobility, Lucia can simply stand back and rain destruction down upon her safely. Said destruction includes Lightning Bomb and Thunder Blow, and the Dragons of Goldoa are famously allergic to lightning. In case this doesn't work, well, Lucia's Magic Barrier buffs her defense in order to withstand the assaults, and Lucia's healing easily keeps pace with Ena's damage. And there's always the lightning waiting to zap her. Aren't dragons supposed to serve Althena, anyway, not insane warlords? Well, this one will soon learn its lesson.

Lucia has lightning! Lucia has healing! Lucia gets eaten in one bite!

Look, when you spend half your time running around the arena and casting weak magics instead of actually fighting, maaaaaaybe trying to slay a dragon isn't the best idea?
