Season 52, Week 4
Flay Gunnar
(Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis)

With his shining muscles, giant sword, and unecessarily limited intellect, Flay Gunnar makes the perfect intrepid hero! And no hero worth his salt would lose to a crafty evildoer like Beatrice (well, let's ignore that Flay is a villain as well, eh...)! While Flay’s pure sword and iron will would surely be enough, his ability to block Sleep with a Yubana Cover, his powerful damage with screwdrivers and deadly stars - especially under Raiden Charge - and his great durability and Last Stand should surely spell trouble for his one-trick pony of an opponent. This match shall certainly be Beatrice’s own nightmare for once!

The nightmare demon has had a good run this season, first proving she could defeat a sleep-immune fighter in Lilly, then dispatching that rookie Shinjiro in her preferred style of fight. What about Flay? Even if his statusblockers of questionable origins are considered at all, Beatrice isn't vert worried. Her demonic durability far overmatches Flay's, and her magic will strike at Flay's poor magical defense while ignoring his defensive tricks, just as it did against Lilly. Failing that, Beatrice could just devour Flay's memories until he forgets all about showing up for the match, though the judges may frown on that tactic...

"Oh ho! I am victorious again!" Flay bellowed as Beatrice muttered under her breath.

"You do realize that you are supposed to suffer from these nightmares, right?" A slight tap of her foot as she eyed the young man. "Not... kill them. I'm not even sure how you managed that, since I'm controlling them and all."

"Ah, but JUSTICE cannot be stopped by mere figments of imagination!" Flay replied cheerfully. "Such a being as you could NEVER hope to stop this Defender of Justice!"

"...I'm just going to go with you being too idiotic to understand the concept of dreams and call it a day." Beatrice muttered, stalking out.
