Once again, the noble Sorceress' Knight Seifer takes to the field wielding his mighty Hyperion and his romantic dreams, ready to stand fast against all who'd seek to use their numbers to swarm those poor misunderstood bosses and failures! And this week's fight shouldn't pose any problem either, because he knows that Max is nothing without his troops even before the egregious mistake of bringing a sword to a Gunblade fight. Just a few slashes before heading into a Fire Cross or Demon Slash should be enough to show that the hero's path is always triumphant - and Max certainly ain't cut out to be one!

How is Max supposed to take the likes of Seifer seriously? Max is a better soldier, leader, fighter -and- human beingthan Seifer could ever hope to be. Fortunately, this would never lead to the type of hubris that'd cost Max the match. After all, Seifer reaching the second round is a tragedy for the DL as is. Max's sword is up to the task of striking him down, packing some serious damage. It's no stretch of the imagination that Max could blow straight past Seifer's limit range. Even then, Max is far too durable to fall to such a paltry move. It's time to send the romantic loser back to class while the real soldiers wage war!

Monkeyfinger
Steel against steel echoed throughout the arena as Seifer and Max fought it out. Max was fighting hard, but Seifer's fast, unerring gunblade strikes seemed to be getting the upper hand. One jolt of pain in Max's sword arm, one lapse of concentration, was all it took for Seifer to land a vicious, unchecked blow to the left side of Max's face. As the blood gushed from beside Max's eye, Seifer triumphantly lowered his sword and adopted a victory pose.
Max looked at Seifer like he was retarded, then jammed his sword through the defenseless knight's temple.
"Some of us can keep fighting after that injury. Don't be so quick to assume victory."
