Who does Wiegraf Folles think he's kidding with that sad parade of his? He has a terrible track record against leaders of rebelling armies, for starters. What makes him think that this match will be any different? Max will hit him hard and fast, often twice in one turn as well as countering far more often than the sad excuse for a Holy Knight will. If there's one thing that Wiegraf can't stand up to, it's the blitzkrieg approach. And so Max and the Shining Force will accomplish what Ramza and his army has done before them: defeat the human husk who stands as Wiegraf and put him down for good. Except this time victory is worth a trip to the Middle finals! Well, and there won't be a lovecraftian goat beast to fight after the Knight goes down for the count.

A naive youth leading an army? Stop me if you've heard this one before... well, Wiegraf certainly has! Hoping to improve his track record, Wiegraf has his usual array of Holy Sword techniques, impressive armor and countering ability. Max's magic may be strong, but it is limited, and while his sword is mighty, he does have to get past Wiegraf's evade... and he'll be eating counters the entire time. Meanwhile, Wiegraf's own blows will be doing irreparable damage, and of course there's always the chance that one of those status effects will kick in and end the match right there. So while his duels with Ramza were uninspiring, he can vicariously live out a needed victory against a much easier opponent. Who says you need a Holy Stone to kick ass?

Gatewalker
Wiegraf in a one on one duel with an SRPG main character. We all know how this ends, right?
"Scatter frozen blades of air! Clops!"
As Max died horribly from the summon, Yuri groaned and smacked his head on the judge's table, "Dammit Wiegraf, you already lost and you KNOW that form's not legal here!"
"Er..." Velius sheepishly scratched his head at Yuri's rebuke, "Sorry, force of habit."
Max: 26
Wiegraf Folles: 17
