Season 57, Week 1
Grobyc
(Chrono Cross)

Grobyc's a machine of war, perfectly suited to the challenges of combat in the DL arena. Grobyc's mammoth fourth six season wait for another chance to fight has given him time to improve and prepare to crush his eventual foe. LC Chan is a master who has trained extensively at using his hands and feet to fight, but that dedication won't make him any more than an ordinary human, and it can't do him any good against the inhuman endurance Grobyc possesses! A couple of Grobyc's deadly techs will grind LC Chan into dust, and send the cyborg onto a much overdue run at a Middle championship.

Poor, poor Grobyc. Even the most naive martial artist knows that the old master always wins. And who fits that stereotype more than Long Chan Chan? Poor naming choice aside, he's got plenty going for him. His White Tiger Rune has a decent chance of causing Unbalance, which would quickly spell doom for his opponent. His own defenses should be more than enough to see him through anything Grobyc throws his way. And his two fists, should he decide to go with regular attacking, can inflict massive damage in a short period of time. So, really, the only question here is just how long LC Chan will take to break his robotic opponent, and whether or not there's anyone in this Middle season that can withstand him.

Grobyc spelled backwards is Cyborg.

Long Chan Chan spelled backwards is Nahc Nahc Gnol.

No, I'm not really going anywhere with this, I just thought that Nahc Nahc Gnol was funny to type. It's funny to say too! Go on, try it!

Anyway, if kung-fu movies have taught us anything, it's that technological enhancements are never a match for true old school mastery of martial arts. So L.C. Chan grabs Grobyc by his laser hair and whoops his ass good or something. There might be a ladder involved somewhere, his name IS Chan afterall.

Grobyc: 16
Long Chan Chan: 25
