Season 11, Week 2
Hanzou
(Shining Force)

Mastery of both defense and speed is a rare combination in your typical fighter. Ergo, Hanzou is not what anyone would call a "typical fighter." Eschewing the all-offense, no-defense approach of most of his ninja brethren, Hanzou is in fact quite tankish against physicals; what this gives him is sufficient time to hold out against his foe and employ his crippling status magicks. Even his physical is impressive enough to keep up with Kasumi's Shrike Rune tactics, giving Hanzou every important advantage and the ability to prove himself the superior ninja.

As other Middles have shown before her, speed kills, and Kasumi is intent on proving it once again. The fastest member of both the Toran and Dunan armies, few outside Godlike can keep up with her pace, and the ninja has the power to make her speed count. With the Shrike Rune doubling her already respectable attack, the usual ninja evasion, and no glaring flaws in her defence for her opponents to exploit, Kasumi is ready to take a run at a title... and she certainly won't let Hanzou, the older, less agile fellow ninja stop her.

The fact is, this is a simple match, as any number of bad movies shows.

You see, Hanzou's a fairly generic ninja.

In pretty much any bad movie, they get easily pummled down by some generic hero. This also applies to bad video games.

The female ninja, on the other hand, are always stronger than usual, and are often on the side of good. Either way, they end up alive at the end of games and movies more.

You do the math.

Hanzou: 16
Kasumi: 17
