The winged warrior of Mount Volcano makes his first appearance in Middle this season, and against Florina, a fellow flying knight. The phoenix certainly has a challenge on his hands - err, wings - because the ditzy Pegasus Knight wields a spear, and can counter every attack he makes. However, it is a well-known fact that flying creatures hate strong winds, and Peter’s attack generates quite a formidable tornado. Before you know it, naïve little Florina will have a brand new reason to be scared of men and man-like birds. Of course, as her body will be lying lifeless on the ground, one can't really blame her. |

EEEEEEEEEK! A MAN!!! Well, sort of. Florina, the shy and gentle Pegasus Knight from Ilia, isn't facing a man on her first DL match, but a phoenix named Peter. Meaning, hopefully, that the match won't involve too much screaming. This is a clear slugfest, where Florina holds the speed and evasion edge. Peter's fairly tanky and his attack hurts, but he's slow - possibly slow enough to get double-turned by Florina, and she'll be evading quite a few of those painful attacks. And if he eats one of the dreaded FE criticals, things will get ugly with great speed. Florina's in a match of subtle ironies this time around, and one that she can gladly take. Without fear of evil, icky men. |
Ryu Hayabusa Florina squeals in horror as Peter unleashes his windstorms. Manuevering frantically, Florina barely manages to stay in the air as Peter's attacks force her backwards, towards the edge of the arena where Lyn is watching. "Don't give up, Florina!" Lyn shouts. "You can do it! I believe in you!" "Lyn! I...I can't let her down!" thinks Florina. Now within three spaces of Lyn, Florina gets a stat boost due to their A level support. She twirls her Brave Lance over her head and crashes into Peter, skewering him over and over again. His body falls to the ground in a broken heap, and Florina is declared the winner. As Lyn gives Florina a victory hug, medics rush to Peter's side. But he's already fully healed. "Phoenixes don't need a priest." he quips. "We can revive ourselves!" Peter: 18 |
