Season 15, Week 3
Florina
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

Florina finally faces a man in the DL, and she might be doubly scared this time. After all, not only she is facing a man, she is facing one of her allies in the army of Eliwood: the druid Canas. Luckily, Florina's speed is high enough to double-turn the dark mage, and his bad defense won't help against her spear or sword strikes. Even the powerful Luna spell, which breaks through Florina's Resist, will be hard-pressed to connect on Florina's excellent evasion.

Knowing the patterns and thoughts of his next foe very well is only one of Canas's many advantages. Having this knowledge backed by his fearsome dark elemental books, which provide him the offense and healing needed to weather Florina's sword and spear thrusts, not to mention the ability to ignore her excellent magic defense instead of being forced to chip away. One critical with Luna will be all it takes for a win

"M-master Canas!" Florina exclaimed. "Why are you fighting in such a tournament?"

"Simple, my dear." Canas smiled. "I'm trying to raise money for a charity to help war orphans, and find a way to stop snowstorms."

"Then I...I cannot fight you." Florina said. "Not when you have such a noble goal in mind."

"Florinaaa!!" Lyn yelled from the stands, looking only slightly worse for wear after her fight with T260G. "I baked you a cherry cheesecake! If you beat him quick, its all yours!"

"Yeep!" Florina blurted out and charged. Canas barely had time to raise his arms to cast Luna before Florina smacked him with the butt of her lance. His monocle broken, the Seeker of Wisdom sighed and collapsed unconscious, oblivious to Florina's apologies.

Canas has purple hair. This makes him awesome.
Florina has purple hair. This makes her awesome too.
Canas has a monocle. This makes him even more awesome.
Florina has a flying horse. This makes her even more aweome.

Now ask yourself what you'd rather posses: a flying horse or a monocle? As cool as a monocle is, a flying horse just seems to be worth more to me. Now ask yourself who you'd be more interested in meeting: someone with a monocle or someone with a flying horse? As rare and distinguished as monocles may be in this day and age, flying horses strike me as even more rare. Now ask yourself what is more powerful in a fight: a monocle or a flying horse? While it strikes me that monocles would likely help you collect intel on your surroundings, this likely wouldn't be as helpful as the death from above that can be delivered with a flying horse.

Therefore flying horsies > monocles.
Therefore Florina > Canas.
Quod erat demonstrandum.
