Season 15, Week 5
Florina
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

Three filthy males have fallen at the point of Florina's spear, but now it's time for her to face a woman. And unlike her opponents of the past, Momo won’t be a pushover. Her buffing, healing, and sleep spells will mount a serious challenge for the Falcon Knight. Florina has no fear for the scatter-brained scientist, though; all the stat-raising in the world can’t counter a lance lodged in the heart, and Florina’s high magic resistance means Momo can't count on putting her to sleep. Victory for the timid sky warrior is but a few rounds away, and she will lead Fire Emblem to its second Middle championship.

She may not realize it, but Momo is on the brink of securing a Middle championship. While her powerful Falcon Knight opponent may start the battle off quicker and stronger, Momo has the tools to reverse the situation. Two early Protects and a Speed will negate any double-turns from Florina and drastically reduce the damage she could do. After buffing herself, Momo can simply outlast the Pegasus Knight thanks to her far superior durability coupled with a large supply of full healing. As long as she has the willpower to focus on such a long match, Momo can take home the win.

For nearly two seasons now, Fire Emblem has dominated over all in middle. First, came Lyn's crushing of the divison, and now Florina the Peg Knight comes, sword and spears flashing in the arena lights. Florina, for all of her speed and power and desire to emulate Lyn, has one problem.

She really dislikes being hit with arrows. What is a Bazooka then, but an infinitely more powerful bow? Somehow, I can't see Florina wanting to stay around and fight against someone who wields such a deadly weapon.

Momo: 36
