After a regrettable downgrade several seasons ago, Fina returns to the DL in an attempt to win back the respect she once had. Thankfully, the moons have blessed her with a sinfully easy fight: a Suikoden fighter! Though Shin may have some control over spiders, he's no Spider-Man, and will be unable to withstand Fina's powerful silver magic. Fina's body may not be the most resilient thing in the world, but it's more than enough to take Shin's puny sword-blows, giving her plenty of time to finish build up the power of Eternum.

With his mighty Ray Tarantula sword, Shin is ready to crush all who would stand before him in Middle. Despite having the same generally poor damage of the pure Suikoden fighters, Shin remains unperturbed. With an opponent like Fina, all Shin needs are a couple of solid blows or a single critical hit in order to tear through her pathetic defenses and win the fight. Considering Fina’s already pitiful damage is going to be hitting Shin’s solid HP, he will easily have the time he needs to get those attacks or critical hits in.

One of the most important things in a fight isn't necessarily "coolness" or "power". While important, these factors take a backburner to something a little more vital - intimidation.
Shin is...well, scary compared to Fina. With the mark of a spider on his back, a deadly sabre in his right hand, and a powerful rune embedded in his left hand, it's pretty scary. Fina, meanwhile is a girl in a wedding dress, with a floating ball of silver jelly flying next to her. While Cupil can turn into awesome weapons such as swords and spears, that's about all Fina has going for her.
With Shin's mastery over the eight-legged freaks, it came as no surprise that he decided to take intimidation a little further, and dressed up as Spiderman before the battle. And really, he looked damn good in his costume ( a rougher version of Toby Mcguire, if you will ).
Unfortunately, there is still one power greater than intimidation in a fight...
...that, my friends, is the power of the lawsuit. Sam Raimi was not pleased with this, and appeared in the DL arena, at his side a powerful cadre of lawyers. In mere seconds, the would-be movie star was compressed under mounds of subpoenas and legal writings.
But that was ok, Shin thought. He'd deal with Fina, and then have Teresa pay his way out. Unfortunately, again, for Shin, charging energy for Eternum isn't as hard as you'd think it would be, especially when your opponent is buried under several thousand court orders.
But hey, look on the bright side: Spiderman 4: Attack of the Clones, is coming out in Summer '07!
Fina: 30
Shin: 23
