Season 22, Week 3
Raine Sage
(Tales of Symphonia)

After defeating quite the interesting specimen in White Rose, The Professor moves onto round 2! Raine's potent healing magic served her well in her debut match and will serve her well against Lo Wen. While Silent Lake will limit Raine's midbattle options, a single casting of Permaguard will buff Raine up to absurd levels of defense. Alternatively, her Keenness spell will let her attacks easily outmatch Lo Wen's. Even a single shot of Holy Lance before Silent Lake sets in will tip the scales in Professor Raine's favor and lead her to the semi-finals.

The Water Rune's impact has already been felt this season, as Lo Wen used it to muscle past a dangerous summoner and healer. Raine Sage's very much like Eiko, a healer who relies on holy damage to win her fights. Unlike Lo Wen's first victim, however, Raine has a very limited amount of healing available before she runs out of firepower, while Lo Wen has plenty of healing to back up her down rune enhanced physical and Silent Lake. Raine's about to be tought a painful lesson about how a real middle healer fights, and it's an experience she won't soon forget.
