Season 25, Week 1
Graham Cray
(Suikoden IV)

Take a metal hand, season with a pinch of genius, mix in some poppy seeds, a bit of evil and an awesome beard, then bake for an hour, and you have Graham Cray, the most evil and terrifyingly powerful baker/gardener in the entire world. A psychotic strategic genius and terrifying sorcerer, and Kooluk's greatest asset in war. This season, Cray has his chance to sow the seeds of chaos, evil and destruction in Middle; and, perhaps cook up some fiendishly delightful victories that would make even the famous and talented Emeril green with envy. With his devastating lightning magic, Cray can reduce any foe to ashes in a second, and his current opponent, Maria Traydor, shall fall just like everyone else before Cray's supreme magical might. While Maria may hold the ability to manipulate space-time, there is no finer manipulator of the human psyche than Cray himself, and no amount of fancy scientific fascinations will hold him back. Indeed, no matter how advanced, science is no match for the magic of the finest calibre - which Cray commands. His powerful magical barrier can repel even the strongest of laser beams and proton bursts, turning Maria's once-potent blaster into a worthless piece of scrap metal. In hand-to-hand combat, there is nothing Maria can do to hold back the mighty Steel Hand of Doom, and with his enemy's range advantage negated, Cray can bring the full force of his devastating arm into the fray. Of course, that's only to give the poor girl a sporting chance: Cray's Soaring Bolt should prove just as effective as his deadly Steel Hand at tearing apart young girls who think they can tango with true greatness. There can be only one - and Graham Cray, diabolical agriculturalist and bread-roller extrordinaire, shall be that one.

As Quark's leader and captain, the beautiful, intelligent and capable Maria Traydor has a job to do. Herself a product of experimentation and human curiosity, Maria isn't about to let a villain intent on controlling and manipulating the weak off easily! Graham Cray, the diabolical baker/gardener, is also a mighty sorcerer - commanding a powerful barrier that rivals Ghaleon's famed Chaos Shield itself - in addition to pure, unbridled destructive lightning magic, and the unbelievable power of his steel hand, which is strong enough to break apart even the strongest of protective barriers. But Cray isn't prepared for the true conviction and will of Maria Traydor, with the power of space-time manipulation at her call. After all, while Cray may be a talented manipulator, his skills don't extend to the fabric of reality itself. Maria's patented laser pistol will give her a large range advantage against the powerful magus, as a ranged attack will keep the spell-chanting sorcerer on his toes, and give Maria the chance she needs to land a critical blow and end this fight quickly. In addition, her Elemental Leather will tempet the power of the lightning bolts sent her way, reducing Cray to his powerful, yet less accurate, Steel Hand of Doom attacks. Graceful and elegant as always, Maria can easily evade such pitiful attacks, and counter the baker with a blast of highly excited light particles to the face. With Cray on the defensive, he'll be perfectly vulnerable to a single Energy Burst to his brittle old man hips, rendering the would-be sower of the seeds of doom nothing more than a trampled mess of marigolds on a soccer field. She's a winner, all right: a soon-to-be winner of a Middle championship, once this battle, the hardest she's likely to face this season, is over.

The text from the write up was to much, the match imploded from the excess weight. Only one Duellist made it out alive. Maria has experiences with things ceasing to exist at the worst possible times. Cray did not. Victory for Maria.
