Season 28, Week 1
Fargo
(Chrono Cross)

As a fellow chain smoker with the mouth of a sailor, Cid would have been Fargo's drinking buddy on any other day, but manly bonding has no place in the arena proper. Cid's greatest weakness is any dueller who can manipulate their damage, and wonders of wonders, that's what Fargo excels at doing! By chipping away Cid's life with small combos, then easily blowing past his limit range with the mighty Invincible, the pirate will cruise past this little obstacle without much fuss, and just in time for Happy Hour.

Cid's a man of few words. Most of those words can't be repeated in normal conversation, let alone here, so he's just gonna let his spearwork do all the talking he needs to bring Fargo down. The Venus Gospel's MP reliant damage formula gives Cid plenty of offense to throw at the pirate cum reluctant father. His deadly array of limits just seal the deal; from Boost Jump to Highwind, the skilled flier's got enough moves to dispatch a lesser ship captain with ease, and advance onward to the next round of competition.

Two esteemed captains were to face off in the arena today, but rather than duke it out, they both convinced each other a race around the world would be better. Fargo wasn't scared by the fact that Cid wouldn't have to worry about little things like wind or oncoming land masses, Fargo was confident! ...Until Cid bombed the S.S. Invincible with buckets of really hot &$@*$#&%$%ing tea.

Fargo: 34
Cid Highwind: 67

Fargo and Cid are both pretty much skill less. One has his techs, the other has limits.

The difference here is, techs can be used on the attack at the discretion of the attacker. Limits, are defensive and require someone smacking you upside the head before you can use them.

Oops. Poor Cid. I can almost here his stream of curses as Fargo skill fully refuses to hit him into limit range.
