Season 30, Week 2
L'Arachel
(Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones)

L'Arachel may be known for her healing and love of adventure, but she's not going to be needing any of that to take this metal-armored clown down! Anima Magic is scary, scary stuff, and it'l take massive chunks out of Tony's HP, which is already low enough that most normal mages laugh heartily at it. Meanwhile, L'Arachel will be quite easily evading Tony's attacks and countering them with the her deadly magic, destroying any chance Tony had at winning. In a few rounds, Tony's going to be reeling and L'Arachel won't even have a scratch on her. Should she have some bad luck and Tony manages to actually land a hit on her, she's easily durable enough to take a blow or two, and she'll still be piling on the counter damage in the meantime! There's no way that any halfwit evildoer's going to take down the princess of Rausten!

Third Class Pilot Tony hasn't had much luck lately - I mean, not only was he demoted constantly, but he can't get away from adolescent brats even in the RPGDL! But the grizzled old war vet isn't going to let that happen this time - no sir! L'Arachel, while she may be strong-willed and a powerful Mage Knight, is no match for Tony. His mech is resilient to the harshest of elements, which will prove to reduce most of L'Arachel's damage. In addition, L'Arachel's horse pales in speed and maneuverability to Tony's machine, allowing the skilled pilot to strike before she can even react! Of course, Tony's unlimited arsenal of heavy rockets pretty much ensures his victory over the unarmoured horse and rider. His war shall not end as long as he is around - and with his mad piloting skillz, he'll be around for quite a long time.

In the interests of fair play, one simple call was made before this match.

Yet it was a call that would change the tide of the battle completely.

"You are really a sadistic bastard, you know that, Zio?" Rubicant said, shaking his head. "Of all the things to decide..."

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" A high pitched scream could be heard from the arena.

"...that?" Rubicant finished.

"Well, I thought it was only fair. No machines, no horses, no foolish magic, just a simple fight. One on one." Zio said, smiling slightly.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Again the shriek could be heard.

"Yeah, but who knew L'arachel could beat someone that hard with a staff?" Rolf said, shaking his head.

"Ahahahaha! This is so much fun!" L'arachel laughed, chasing the shrieking Tony around the arena.

"And who knew Tony could scream that loud?" Rolf finished.

"Does it matter? He'll tire himself out pretty soon." Zio said, shrugging.

"...you evil bastard. You even brought earplugs, didn't you." Rubicant said.

"What?" Zio said. "Oh, yes. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll going to take a nap." He said, settling into his chair.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Tony shrieked, as he was chased by a vicious teenager.

"...I guess you have to earn your reputation as an villian somehow." Rolf said, sighing, as he stuck his fingers into his ears.

You know what sucks? When your opponent runs down 235% average speed and you have absolutely no way to slow them down. And as much as WA4 bosses lack durability, L'Arachel not doubling = sad L'Arachel on offense.
